Free-time or full-time: Making a difference in the Asian American community

August 16th
7:00pm - 9:00pm
Asian Pacific Fund
225 Bush St. Suite 590 (between Sansome and Montgomery)
San Francisco (close to Montgomery Bart Stop)

Regardless of whether you’re a career professional in the for-profit or non-profit sections, the organizers of Third Thursdays hopes that everyone attending the next panel presentation will come away with some lessons and models for engaging with organizations that serve the Asian American community. The August panel includes well-regarded business and non-profit professionals discussing how they have devoted their spare time or careers to address the needs in the Asian American community.

Topics to discuss include:

  • How the panelists started their community involvement in the midst of their busy workload
  • Managing transitions between for-profit and non-profit careers(and vice versa)
  • Opportunities for professionals to use their for-profit skills in non-profit settings

Panelists include:

  • Rod Hsiao
