This month Third Thursdays is honored to feature two of the most visionary leaders in the nonprofit sector, Peggy Saika, Executive Director of Asian Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy and Jan Masaoka, Executive Director of CompassPoint Nonprofit Services. We asked them to come to share their personal experiences leading various organizations and to describe the landscape of nonprofit organizations, highlighting those of particular interest to the Asian American community. They will also explain how organizations’ mission and function vary and the different roles for volunteers.
Both of these amazing leaders have developed key insights about the value of participation from young people like you from both the nonprofit and for profit sectors, so if you have ever wondered how you can help to play a role in social change, you shouldn’t miss Third Thursdays in February!
