Giant Robot is proud to present Black and White in Color, a group show featuring the art of Hellen Jo, John Pham, and Albert Reyes.

Hellen Jo was born in Starkville, Mississippi in 1983; she also lived in Florida and New Mexico briefly before finally moving to Northern California at the tender age of 7. She currently lives in San Francisco, goes to art school, and is working on an as-yet-untitled comic to be published next year.

John Pham lives in Los Angeles but was born in Saigon. He won a Xeric Grant in 2000 and self-published three issues of the now defunct Epoxy. He is currently working on a new comics series titled Sublife for Fantagraphics Books.

Albert Reyes is a Los Angeles-based San Francisco Art Institute graduate who has developed a style equally influenced by graffiti, comics, and fine art. Among other media, he draws and prints on the inside covers of old books and mixes traditional Mexican imagery, popular culture icons, and political suggestion. His work has been collected in a book, Don't Give Up, and his name can be seen on public walls as GIVE.

A reception will take place from 6:30 – 10:00 on Saturday, October 20. </description>
